Facts vs fear

Facts are a very supressed compared to fear in todays immigration politics. Facts could say that immigration is good for the economy, or the happiness of the people. Fear could be hate against these people, and this hate could be because they dont actually know what theyre like. The wall of fear

The wall of fear

1. The story behind the wall on the US-Mexico border started during Trump's election campaign. He said that to prevent illegal immigration from Mexico, the US must build a wall on the border. Trump also said that Mexico was going to pay for it, which they haven't and probably never will.

2. The wall is important for Trump because he thinks it will stop illegal immigration. So important in fact, that he has initialized a lockdown on the white house, resulting in many people not getting any payment for their work.

3. A government shutdown occurs when the Congress fails to appropriate funds. Non-essential programs close, due to the federal budget not being accepted. Trump doesn't accept it before he gets to build the wall. There have been several government shutdowns, the first happened in 1976, and it lasted ten days.

4. There are indeed some similarities, the obvious one being the separation from other countries, becoming independent of them.

5. People who work for the government are most affected, but also firefighters, police and medical emergency workers.

6. That you have to take responsibility for something instead of passing it on to someone else
